Look at Bear Creek this way--work on your game at Presidents and Challenger courses, test your game at Masters. It should be a pretty fair test. Don't get crazy, and you just might find yourself putting together a decent round. The only thing you shouldn't like is the ride around on the cart paths--a lot of water damage, a lot of bumps. Don't underestimate this--sometimes in Houston, it's really important to get up a nice head of speed between shots to mitigate the heat and humidity. That's not gonna happen here. Just so you know.

I enjoy playing this course. Some of the holes are over water and hard for me. It is a challenge.

I played the Challenger Course and it was very staright and open. The greens were what troubled me the most. It was not the difficulty of the slopes, it was the poor conditions. The ball bounces after you putt and kicks the ball off your desired line. It was the same on all 18 holes. It's like in baseball when you hit a grounder and it takes a bad hop. Thats how I would explain what happens when you putt @ Bear Creek. I plan to go back just because its literally 5 min. from my house. The pace is very fast,I always felt like I had to rush my shots because there was always a group waiting for my group to take our shots. We even allowed two groups to play through, however, it did not help. They should do a better job of spacing the tee times. I feel if Im rushing my shots Im not enjoying the game. Had to play way too fast.
